Perhaps one of the most crucial components to a vehicle is the braking system. SRS Airbags, side curtain airbags, even seat belts are all fantastic safety devices, but honestly, what would the world be like without the advent of brakes? We can all agree that without a properly maintained braking system, automobiles would not be possible. Whether you are in need of brake replacement or just service, your Goodwrench Technician has you covered, and will get you safely back en route to life.
How do you know when you need your brakes serviced, though? Here are a few tips from our Service Team:
- Worn brake pads
- Heat-cracked or worn rotors
- Loose-fitting brake pads in the caliper
- Missing or damaged noise insulators
- Uneven torque of lug nuts or caliper hardware
- Hearing a "chirping" or grinding noise; this may indicate the metal warning pad on the brake pad has warn through
We hope these few tips have helped! If you are suspecting your brakes to be lousy or just aren't sure, become sure of your vehicle by coming into Handy Chevrolet today and scheduling an appointment with one of our fantastic Technicians.
